I have summarised the Mediterranean diet with four main points and this recipes has them all.

They are: 

1) legumes.  Here we have chick peas

2) nuts. Here we have some dukkah, containing nuts, spinkled on top

3)low GI carbohydrates.  Sweet potatoes, in this recipe, have an especially low glycaemic index

4)fermented dairy products.  In this recipes, there is yoghurt on top.
