-I came across this recipe 15 years ago. These sweets are from Brazil and when I say "Guess what's in them?", a lot of people guess apricot!
-Yes, they have sugar but the sweet potato has such a low glycaemic index (GI) that it "neutralises" the sugar..... well sort of. The lemon juice also lowers the GI.
-Eat 2 or 3 with your tea or coffee
-Warning: a bit fiddly but worth it. They keep for a month or more
